JUDY GRAHN  | SAS LIT FEST | BODIES ON THE LINE: CELEBRATING WRITERS WHO DIED OF AIDS
March 31, 2019: A community celebration of the inspiring lives, work and legacy of writers lost to AIDS. This event pairs six invited contemporary writers to read and perform work by six writers who died of AIDS— poets, playwrights, storytellers, critics, journalists—and to share original work made in homage to these earlier writers. Grahn will read from Jeanne Córdova’s work.

March 30, 2019: Saints and Sinners (SAS) Literary Festival is proud to present a panel of literary foremothers— Dorothy Allison (Bastard Out of Carolina, The Women Who Hate Me), Blanche McCrary Boyd (The Redneck Way of Knowledge, Tomb of the Unknown Racist), and Judy Grahn (A Another Mother Tongue, A Woman Is Talking To Death) – discussing lesbian literature then and now.

APRIL 2019: The My Good Judy residency welcomes burlesque artist Queenie O’Hart. She will be debuting a new act “Please Don’t Touch Me” (from Young Frankenstein) as well as her celebrated “Big, Blonde and Beautiful.”

MARCH 2019: The My Good Judy residency welcomes stylist and photographer Jose Guzman Colon as he seeks to document gender queer communities of New Orleans.

PUBLICATION | “Fractal Cats”
FEBRUARY 2019: Judy Grahn’s newest essay, “Fractal Cats,” has been published in an anthology which is being called ‘a collective spiritual autobiography.’ Strange Attractors: Lives Changed By Chance out of University of Massachusetts Press is edited by Edie Meidav and Emmalie Dropkin.
